From The National Post:

A Canadian hotel chain has unveiled plans to offer front-line health-care workers a safe place to rest during pandemic response.

The Silver Hotel Group is offering rooms at a “baseline rate” of $60 a night at two hotels in the Toronto area and a third in Ottawa.

“Throughout the last two weeks, it has become evident that front-line workers are having to pay for accommodation out of pocket, if they choose to stay isolated from their families in order to keep them from potentially being exposed to the coronavirus,” the family owned chain said in a statement.

“Front-line workers are putting their lives at risk to keep our families and friends safe, and we want to help them by providing a dedicated and safe space for them to rest while they battle this pandemic.”

The Bond Hotel in Downtown Toronto, The Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport, and Fairfield Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata are all exclusively dedicated to health-care workers at this time.
